1964 Corvette Stingray C2 Coupe
Wonderfully unmolested, properly sorted example of this iconic model, even the spare wheel lock is still there. Finished in it's original colour, Daytona Blue, the spec. includes power steering and aircon.
The chassis and body are absolutely superb as are the steering and suspension components. A composite rear spring and Koni classics add to the chassis' sporting performance enabling the car to be driven with confidence at speed on UK roads.
Everything works including the clock, cabin extractor fan and all ventilation controls.
The original radio is still in place and working but now mated to a high quality Denon Dvd / Radio fitted into the glove box.
Mated to a superb Muncie manual 4 speed gearbox, the small block ,300 bhp power unit starts faultlessly delivering a seamless wave of torque that never fails to delight. the recorded mileage of 48,000 is believed to be genuine.
The black trim is outstanding and the dark blue carpets similarly so.The internal ambience is one of patina but still very smart with no tears and few scuffs.
Imported into the U.K. some 28 years ago , the car comes with a large amount of documentation together with a useful selection of components, including a pair of cylinder heads.
These early Corvettes are charismatic and competent to a level that exceeds their current value and, unusually it's the coupe that hits the mark most strongly. Amongst the very best available.
